"You didn't use one Bible verse. You didn't even read John 3:16. What kind of Christian witness is that?" I said, "So you're mad I'm not using Bible verse to defend the scientific thing for God?" And they said, "Yeah." I responded, "You do know the audience we're speaking to, they're atheists. They don't believe in the Bible. If I quote the Bible to them, it means nothing. But they believe in logic. Thus I use logic to do this." And showed them that. And they're like, "Oh, I guess that makes sense."
Hey everybody, I am obviously not in the studio. This is going to be a very unique podcast that we do. I'm here with a good friend and brother in Christ, Michael Lane. We have a ministry called Evidence for Faith and this whole podcast is not going to be money related. So if you're just following BetterWealth for money tips and strategies, this is probably the podcast that you may want to skip if you're not interested in any of the stuff that we're talking about.
We always talk about intentional living, which especially talks about the idea that you are financially free when you're living an intentional life. It has been very clear to me and on my heart that if God's going to bless us with wealth, money, and influence, we must consider what we are going to do with it.
Michael has been a game changer in my life. We went to a ministry camp that he was very involved in when I grew up. I remember attending class after class, and his teachings and Bible studies were some of the few where I never wanted the time to end. I was often watching the clock, wishing for the time to go slower because of how much time and energy he put into his studies. I have a better quality of faith and understanding of the Bible and character because of him.
It became evident that there was a season in his life where he could be used better in this ministry, doing things like videos, podcasts, and more on the Internet. Overall, that is the update of where you're at, why we're doing the podcast, and I'm excited to interview Michael, sharing his story and passions. We are currently in the Florida Keys because one of Michael's specialties is the marine biology trip he organizes with high school and some college students. It's wonderful to see them explore the water and learn incredible things. With that, it's good to have you here, Michael.

Michael has been leading these trips since 1987. He shared the origins of this unique marine biology trip and how it began. As a former resident of the Bahamas, where he met his wife Denise and taught biology, Michael fell in love with the ocean and wanted to share that experience with others when he returned to the States.
The marine biology trip doubles as a ministry, where students can earn high school, and occasionally college, credit. It attracts believers, non-believers, homeschoolers, and public schoolers, offering them an extraordinary experience. Each day includes a Bible study with in-depth teachings, encouraging believers and challenging non-believers to question their beliefs.
This ministry, Evidence for Faith, aims to provide evidence through science, history, archaeology, the Bible, and logic to help people understand why they believe what they believe. We aren't in the business of convincing, but rather, showing the facts to allow people to make informed decisions about their faith.
We seek to equip pastors, students, and anyone interested in understanding their beliefs. By demonstrating that the Bible, history, archaeology, and science align, we offer a logically sound foundation for belief.
